Memoir a one day workshop 10-4pm: I have been asked a number of times to run a course on Memoir. I have earmarked Monday 21st October 24 in the Community Room of St Andrew’s Church, Holt. Some of you will know this venue as it is also where the Holt festival exhibitions (curated by James Glennie) take place. Holt is more easily accessible from Norwich and beyond and the facilities are good, particularly for the less able bodied.
Memoir has changed beyond all measure in recent years below are some of the areas I will cover.
Cost £65: I have held my prices for years but I am having to add an additional £5 to the fee owing to the increase in the cost of room rental which in many cases has doubled. I already have a group of people who have expressed interest in attending so contact me as soon as possible.
Securing your place is by payment. Please email me to receive payment details.
Author statement.
‘My concerns in writing are perception (often flawed) and moral ambiguity, with ideas sourced and inspired through art, objects, nature, the half–remembered or the unwittingly disclosed. The starting point for my short fiction is invariably visual, juxtaposing the known past with an unsettling, unconscious illusoriness.’
